I think that the chances of AI taking over stock Trading are quiet high as a lot of hedge funds and investment firms are already using artificial intelligence and logarithm investing for their trading.

The Managers job will be easier as robots can do automatic data entry but the final interpretation, judgement and decision making will be by the manager only.

Accountability and subsequently trust is something AI won't be able to provide.
Medium & Long term investment horizons = more volatility and uncertainty, market becomes non-optimal; hard to model.

AI could be used to optimize & speed up workflows for PMs.

Given that the numerous variables that lead to successful and profitable investing, a self learning automation that never shows up late, never sick, never demands a raise or a vacation, willing to work 24/7, able to consider complex situations, can calculate probabilities instantly and accurately, and communicate electronically , etc., an AI takeover of investment jobs seems inevitable.

Part of it depends on optimization models which can be done by robots
