I am an acupuncturist and I highly doubt we can use much ai other than for office tasks and appt confirmations. Tongue and pulse diagnosis is a very subtle art and the needle placement is different based on the lineages of training and systems followed and is only 1 of 5 branches of TCM we havent even talked about the supportive lines like the herbs that go with the acupuncture treatment. lastly people skills and trust in someone entering sharp needles into you upto 30 of them per treatment from near the eye to near the spine is not something we can afford a robot to do who might go wacko every now and then

The reason why I think there is a highly likely chance that acupuncture can leverage automation plus AI is because we have already discussed this with acupuncturists. They diagnose patients by examining their tongues and then make decisions about the placement of needles. Tongue diagnosis can leverage AI. Needle placement can leverage automation.
