Not sure art appreciation is best represented by curators, as they act as intermediaries between the audience and the art itself. Today, they control the physical spaces where art is displayed, but if the future increasingly relies on digital platforms for experiencing and consuming art, curators may become less necessary. Algorithms are already proving their value in generating creative thought and are being preferred as editors and curators of digital content. It is safe to assume they will take over many of the functions traditionally performed by curators.

Unless AI technology progresses at terrifying speed, curators can’t be replaced by robots as they lack the ability to feel emotion and see beauty, : two things needed to appreciate art.
